SUMMER FETE'S & FUNDAYS - LIMITED 2011 AVAILABILITY - RING NOW TO GUARANTEE YOUR BOOKING

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide equipment for schools and or village fetes and fun days?

Yes we do. We would be pleased to supply equipment for a school or village fete fun day, either on a hire only basis or fully manned with us donating a percentage of takings to the organisers. This is standard practise within our industry. We currently have a number of bookings for summer 2009 and spaces are becoming extremely limited. Phone NOW to avoid disappointment.

What happens if the weather is not good?

Most of our castles include rain covers built in, however they cannot be used in severely adverse weather, as such unlike other companies we will not charge to cancel. All we ask is that you either let us know with reasonable fair notice, or before we set any products up. Basically if we set up we would expect payment in full.

Can I hire products all year round?

Yes we operate all year round. In addition, all of our products can be used outside or in (depending on size of venue). Please see our venue list to help you choose a venue for your party or special event and don't let the weather or time of year prevent you from holding an event.

What are your delivery and collection times?

Our standard delivery times are from 8.30am in the morning with collection times ranging from 5pm to 9pm (unless the products are in halls). Following several incidents affecting the Health & Safety of our operatives last year we unfortunately now charge for pick ups after dark. Contact us for a quote if you require this service.

Do you charge for delivery?

As from May 1st 2010, we can no longer absorb the numerous increases in fuel charges. Small surcharges will be charged for deliveries outside of a 10 mile radius of Aylesbury.

Do I pay a deposit?

Unlike other companies, we do not think it fair to charge a deposit. All we ask is that our customers allow us the same consideration and give us plenty of notice should they wish to cancel. The one and only exception is for the full size chocolate fountain package which does requires a booking form and deposit.

How much notice is required to hire from you?

As much as possible please. We will however endeavour to fulfil your requirements even if you call for same day service, we will do our very best for you. It is not unheard of for us to deliver and set up with an hours notice. Please ring and ask. You can contact us on landline 01296 337446, or for an emergency on 07853 991408.

Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?

Normally no, the products are generally moved by means of hand operated 'sack trucks', however we do ask our customers to provide adequate access to the site (passage way of 1mtr or wider) and ensure the area is free from any debris, sharp objects and animal droppings. We must consider the health and safety aspect for our operators and reserve the right to cancel any hire should access, or the hire site prove unsuitable. Similarly ,should the access be through a house you must inform us at point of booking, depending upon the product ordered we may levy a surcharge to cover extra porter costs to move/carry through the house, we cannot be held liable should any damage occur. Should we not be informed of limited access (for example through a house), we reserve the right to cancel without penalty. Finally we require a live power point to be within 50mtr of the set up area, otherwise a generator must be supplied or hired from us.

How do I pay?

Our terms of business are strictly cash or cheque supported by appropriate guarantee card, at time of set up. We currently do not accept debit/credit cards.

Can we move the inflatable once it is up?

No, once the inflatable is sited and secured it must be left in situ.

Are you insured?

Yes we hold full £5 million liability insurance. All our operators carry copies of this policy to enable it to be shown upon request. Our public liability insurance covers accidents and injuries caused by failing equipment or unsafe/incorrect installation. It does not cover safe usage of the products, this is the responsibility of the hirer. The hirer must ensure adult supervision and fair, safe play during the period of hire (see next question). As such, the hirer may wish to arrange suitable insurance themselves.

Do you have Terms and Conditions attached to your products?

Yes, all inflatable hires are subject to standard industry terms and conditions, which are designed to promote reliable, safe usage of the inflatable play equipment. As a binding condition of hire, we ask for this to be given the hirers best attention and then fully completed upon set up of the play equipment. We will leave a copy on site along with a child friendly version for reference.

Are you a member of any Trade or professional Associations?

There are currently no associations in the UK. We are however listed members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance), who promote Health & Safety, integrity and professionalism throughout our industry. Our unique reference number to illustrate our membership and allow us to display their logo is IH2844. This we hope gives you the customer peace of mind of our willingness to adhere to the code of practise promoted. For further information regarding the BIHA and the code of practise they promote,  please go to BIHA.org.uk.
